In line with our commitment to driving industry excellence and cross-regional collaboration in the Greater Bay Area, Mr. Ivan FU, Chairperson of Committee on Mainland Affairs of the CIC, and Mr. Alex HO, Director - Industry Development of the CIC, led a delegation to Zhuhai, visiting innovative construction projects and advanced building technology applications to explore emerging trends in Better Housing development.
The delegation visited the Huafa Zhuhai Bay project to gain an in-depth understanding of its core principles of being safe, comfortable, green and smart. The project implements the concept of Technology + Good House within community design, featuring a digital smart community, smart home systems, drone delivery and elderly wellness facilities. Cutting-edge technologies, such as the IoT, AI, and Digital Twin, are utilised to enhance the community’s digitalisation and quality of service.
A key highlight was the introduction by Guangdong Tenfine Information Technology Development Co., Ltd, on its self-developed Smart Tower Crane Control System. The system integrates AI edge computing, multi-sensor fusion and optical radar technologies to enable autonomous driving, route planning and intelligent obstacle avoidance, advancing tower crane operations towards unmanned automation. Both parties engaged in detailed discussions on system design, safety measures and technological applications.
This study visit deepened the industry’s understanding of the Better Housing concept and the latest developments in innovative construction technologies. Moving forward, we will continue to facilitate the introduction of advanced technologies and strengthen partnerships to build a more liveable, intelligent and sustainable Hong Kong.
