Green Construction is one of the major topics in the construction industry. To actively promote the future development and the practice of Green Construction, the CIC organised a two-day Greater Bay Area delegation focus on Green Construction and new energy, visiting enterprises in the fields of low-carbon, and new energy.
On the first day, the delegation visited the Cooling Project of Qianhai Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd., which is an important municipal infrastructure project. The cooling station combines various refrigeration and cold storage technologies, saving 130 million kWh of electricity annually and reducing carbon emissions by over 2 million tons, showcasing a very successful case of energy conservation.
To develop green construction, digitalisation and Hydrogen energy are the most mentioned technologies. Various enterprises and organizations showcased their energy-saving approaches to the delegation. Huawei Digital Power AntoHill Headquarters is committed to integrating digital technology, utilising photovoltaics and other technology in grid design at the park to achieve efficient utilisation and intelligent energy management, resulting in a 50% annual electricity savings. Shenzhen Hynovation Technologies Co., Ltd. focuses on the development of Hydrogen battery technology, which has been widely used in vehicles, logistics, rail transit, ships, and expanded to power generation, energy storage, and other power fields.
Through exploring various energy-saving solutions and connecting with related enterprises and organisations, the CIC hopes to facilitate the industry to practise Green Construction and achieving carbon neutrality goals.
